So I'm quitting. I haven't logged in since we stopped raiding... go figure?

My wow time has been very long. I started in Vanilla and skipped BC (big whoop right?) and wrapping things up before Catacylsm. I have raided with the great and with the absolute horrible. 10, 25, 40 man Naxx.... woot. Every raid instance except Sunwell. The best part is.... I was a healer each time!

What can I say about Bambootown? In the beginning it was the shit. The perfect fit for what I was looking for... a guild that raided on a strict schedule and didn't fuck around. As many of you know, since Naxx I really only logged on to raid. Over time we lost some good ones and picked up some good ones, exact same with the bad. The healers were a tight knit group that would joke around and discuss strategies in a not-so-secret channel. Much .

I made a lot of friends in this guild. Many of you I'm sure I will remember forever. I'm going to namedrop a few because I really want your guys contact info (can send it in a PM or I will PM you for it).

25 Man ICC Progression is Officially Over

As you all know our attendance has been an issue for some time. We managed to get through ICC 25 up to Lich King on regular mode in what most would consider a somewhat timely fashion when you think about our issues with filling the raid each night.

A while back we stepped up our recruiting and put out posts on multiple sites as well as implemented incentives and consequences for showing up and not showing up. Unfortunately this only had a minimal effect. With cataclysm coming up and school coming to an end we just cannot seem to keep the raid full enough with people that are geared and experienced enough to put significant effort into progression.

I feel we have exhausted all possibilities with regards to effort that the officers can put out while still balancing real life duties. As a result we will no longer be pursuing 25 man raid progression. I'm sure many of you saw this coming. It saddens me to say this as I've been a part of this guild for some time and I really don't want to stop but I see no other option as the frustration seems to only fester and increase. I will continue to do my 10 mans and play on my various alts. Who knows what may happen on down the road with raiding in Cataclysm?

Thanks to everyone who stuck things out. I hope that everyone can find something to keep them busy for the remainder of the WotLK content time frame and wish everyone the best of luck in the future.

Are you prepared to provide your own consumables as we progress? Always. In one of my previous guilds, Ninja Mafia... we had quite a few cocky players who thought they were too good to flask or eat fish, definitely wasn't something I enjoyed but I had to deal with it. Besides, the raging from all the other members towards the cocky non-flasking players payed off on 1-10% wipes

Are you willing to work on improving your gear outside of raiding (including gems and enchants)? Yes, not only do I see it as an improvement for myself but I see it as an improvement for the guild. I'm a well rounded, competent, dedicated players striving for ways to improve at all times.

Do you have Ventrilo and a working mic? Of course

Raid Experience: Not so much, I've been staying back with casual guilds lately so I'm currently 8/12 10m and 7/12 25m

Previous Guilds and reason for leaving: - An officer in the guild wasn't so happy about not finishing Ulduar about 2 weeks before ToC was released so he kicked about half the guild and I was apart of the kick. It wasn't much of an issue, I was still gearing myself up after taking a break from game play.
- This guild has some great players, but too many of the players became pricks and you could never raid without somebody being put down, I'm not a big fan of all the drama and immaturity so I moved on from them.

Can you make our raid times and maintain 100% attendance (outside of emergencies)? I don't see the guild's raid times anywhere on the site what so ever, but I'm 90% sure I can attend your raids, my schedule is quite flexible.

Why do you want to join Bambootown? Lately I've been looking for a guild I can get into real end game content with. In the past I've been quite laid back and relaxed, but I'm ready to join a competent end game raiding guild I can enjoy.

I work afternoons and also go to school, I enjoy many physical activities such as skateboarding, snowboarding, baseball, basketball, lacrosse, and soccer (Yes, I was on a team for baseball basketball lacrosse and soccer). I've been playing WoW lately in my free time to try and have some fun and get some stress off my shoulders, I'm a pretty relaxed person that doesn't enjoy dealing with stupidity, but... we can't always choose who we get to be around.

I have both and not afraid to use them.

Raid Experience: I have been raiding since BC and have cleared all BC content up to Mu'ru and most all of current WotLK content save for a few Ulduar hardmodes (Yogg), only up to Valks in ToGC25, and up to LK in 10man and Sindragosa in 25.

Previous Guilds and reason for leaving: Started out WotLK in my own guild, leading 10man only groups thro Naxx. Once we had cleared 10man a few times everyone got restless and wanted to move on to 25s which the guild didn't currently have the members for, so everyone moved on to different Guilds. Since then I have been in Treated and Keepers of the Shadow. I recently left KotS over issues I was having with how the guild was run by the guild leader. Loot council turned into the GM pretty much just deciding on his own, and he refused to let anyone help him micro manage anything happening within the guild.

Can you make our raid times and maintain 100% attendance? Unless something important comes up, I see no issue.

Why do you want to join Bambootown? I was in BBT during BC from Kara all the way up to Hyjal/BT as a MT/OT on my warrior Neoforte. I know a few people within the guild and would enjoy being back in the raid scene.

Have your balls dropped? I live on my own and work full time during the day, so I would say so.

Tell us about yourself: Currently living on my own and working full time during the day. I had night classes but that ended this week, which is why I'm applying now. I enjoy playing wow most of the time, which is probably why I have 7 80's (yea, I get that bored during the weekdays). I also love using my time off during the weekends to get out and chill with my friends, classmates, and co-workers.

Raid Experience: ICC wise? On my mage I've been through the first wing + Festergut in 10 man, and up to gunship downed on 25 man. I've done the same on my prot pally except I've downed Rotface with her. I guess it's easier to get groups when your a tank rather than a DPS lol.

Previous Guilds and reason for leaving: Well, I came from Alliance...over there I was in Damage Inc that I left due to progression failing, and I went Horde with a guild called Storm Lords, that we reformed into Axis of Anarchy. That guild was short lived and the members simply couldn't get along and coordinate raids properly, so I left and am now eye'ing up this guild

Why do you want to join Bambootown? Bambootown seems like a guild that is high in progression but low in the aspect of being elitist assholes. I like that in a guild, people that can have fun and get the job done, ya know?
